The AAJ Musician Center currently contains over 1,700 jazz musician profiles. Even more new profiles are added every day.
In case you are a jazz musician who has not entered your profile, your profile page was designed to offer you a FREE way to reach AAJ readers with your personal biography and your new release information, plus a way to drive traffic back to your own website. Planned directory upgrades include incorporating ways for readers to download your music and get your calendar information.
We just added a feature that adds links from related AAJ articles and CD reviews to your page. For instance, visit pianist Greg Burk's profile page and scroll to the bottom. All articles written about Mr. Burk are now listed and hotlinked.
We will continue to add value to your profile page, so if you are a jazz musician and not currently listed, please add your profile today. If you are listed and would like to update your profile, click the "Update..." link on the Musician Center home page, then click the EDIT PROFILE link on your page.

AAJ has created a series of live content boxes for news, articles, CD reviews and upcoming CD releases. Place any or all of our boxes on your website and watch your traffic grow.
Adding a content box to your website is simple, but it does require some knowledge of HTML. Just follow these simple instructions and you'll be up and running in no time.
Anyone can benefit from daily content, though we strongly encourage radio stations, jazz publicity, and general purpose jazz sites to add the news box. To see the CD review box in action, visit the Jazz Excursion website.
In the last month we published seven interviews. AAJ writers spoke with Walt Weiskopf, Miss Justine, James Blood Ulmer, David "Fathead" Newman, Ingrid Laubrock, Russ Johnson, Dzijan Emin, and Tim Ries. We also archived a historic 1998 conversation with Joe Morris.
Beginning next week, AAJ plans to publish a new interview every Monday morning.

We have recently refurbished our Building a Jazz Library section. BAJL is dedicated to helping you discover new artists, instruments or genres by recommending the essential recordings with which to start.
We've imported 25 historic collections into the BAJL archive, including a three part series on vocal jazz; classic bebop, classic funk, blues, jazz with strings, free improvisation and other genres; trumpet and both classic and modern guitar; and overviews of Art Pepper and Gene Harris. Plus more!
This effort was inspired by a reader who used BAJL to purchase 80 jazz CDs in the last 18 months! Read his letter.
