Guildhall graduate David Tughan is an Norther Irish Jazz singer with two albums under his belt.

About Me

Jazz singer David Tughan graduated from the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has produced two highly acclaimed albums, earning him ‘CD of the week’ in the Observer. His performances have brought him to some of the great venues throughout London and beyond such as Ronnie Scotts, The Royal Garden Hotel, The Waldorf Hotel, The Dorchester, Pizza Express Jazz Club.

Currently alongside his work with his own quintet in clubs and festivals in the UK and Ireland, David has sung with big bands such as NYJO, the Skelton Skinner Allstars, the RTE concert orchestra and Grammy award nominee John Wilson and his Orchestra, famous for its major contribution to Kevin Spacey’s film “Beyond The Sea” about the life of singer Bobby Darrin.

David was interviewed on the Russell Davies Show on BBC Radio 2 as well as receiving airplay on the Jonathan Ross show, BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio Ulster, from Humphrey Lyttleton, Walter Love, Clare Martin, David Jacobs, Desmond Carrington, Helen Mayhew, Campbell Burnap on Jazz FM and Jacqui Dankworth on The Jazz. The albums have been favourably reviewed in the Observer, The Times, Jazzwise, Jazz Journal, Jazz UK, Crescendo & Jazz Magazine, Musician Magazine, Jazz Rag, All About Jazz and The Belfast Telegraph.
